Today was a tough day in the boatyard. I spent at least five or six hours sanding the bottom of the boat with the sander above my head. Every muscle in my body from the waist up is so sore from all the twisting and turning, trying to get the sander in the right position. It got to the point where I was trying to find a different position to use different muscles!
I managed to get about 80% of the boat sanded. I've got another 20% to go tomorrow. The plan is to finish sanding, get the boat prepped, and maybe start painting on Saturday. Oops, tomorrow is Saturday! So hopefully, we can get it finished, prepped, and get some painting done because it definitely needs to be painted by Sunday.
Monday, we splash back in the water, so fingers crossed the rain stays away tomorrow. Back on the hard, back in the water—boatyard work in exotic places! Welcome to Key West, Florida!
