Today was a long day. We left Marathon this morning around 7:30 and covered 68 miles, almost all the way to Miami. We could see Miami when we dropped the hook at Elliott Key.
It was a beautiful day meandering through the Intracoastal Waterway. There are some very shallow spots, and we did pucker up a few times when it got down to three or four feet depth. But we made it safe and sound all the way to Elliott Key.
It was a wonderful day on the water, loving the sunshine and the solitude.
