Today was a fun day! We left Green Cove Springs Marina around 10 AM and arrived in downtown Jacksonville at about 2 PM. We snagged a free boat dock spot right on the Riverwalk on the south bank, where they were having a July 3rd Freedom Fest right by the Friendship Fountain.
We spent the afternoon watching them set up, and from 5:30 to 10 PM, there was music, vendors, food, and all kinds of entertainment. It was a blast sitting on the back of the boat, watching all the people go by, and listening to the music until 10 o'clock tonight.
The skyline of Jacksonville off our port stern was just absolutely stunning. We'll be here all day tomorrow and will watch the fireworks tomorrow night before we head to Lambs Yacht Center on Sunday. Happy 250 years, America!
